A head-on collision closed Highway 3 near Krabbenhoft Road for three and a half hours Sunday night. According to the State Patrol, about 6:30 PM, a northbound 1989 Toyota Camry crossed the centerline, traveled onto the southbound shoulder, went up an embankment, returned to the highway and collided head-on with a southbound 1992 Plymouth Sundace.
U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell was at a Seattle fish market Sunday morning to make an announcement in an effort to protect Washington shellfish jobs. KIRO TV reports Cantwell was at Taylor Shellfish’s new Melrose Market location in Capitol Hill, where she highlighted the impact of 3,200 Washington shellfish jobs.
The Washington State Patrol says a man suspected in a child pornography case that originated in Port Orchard has been brought back to Washington. According to a news release, Detectives from the Patrol’s Missing and Exploited Children’s Task Force (MECTF) returned from Nebraska Friday afternoon after extraditing 55-year-old Kevin T. Morrissey.
