A Mason County District Court jury found former Port of Shelton Commissioner Jack Miles guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol this week. The jurors rendered their decision after a three-day trial that began Monday.
Officials with Hall Equities Group, developer of the Shelton Hills project, are pleased that the Thurston County Superior Court reversed the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board invalidity order on the rezone of 160 acres in its project west of U.S. Highway 101 just south of Sanderson Field allowing the project to move forward.

Wednesday, Thurston County Superior Court Judge Paula Casey issued her decision on the City of Shelton’s and Shelton Hills Developers’ appeal of the Growth Board’s October 27, 2011 invalidity order.
A local construction contractor has been awarded the contract to construct side sewer connections for the Belfair Sewer System. Tuesday, Mason County’s Department of Utilities and Waste Management announced they awarded the contract for Group 2 of the County Hook Up Program to Zephyr’s Inc. out of Allyn.
