The Hood Canal School District is asking residents to fill out a survey to help with the selection of a new Superintendent. The District has also released a timeline for filling the position currently held by Tom Churchill. And an application can be found on the District’s website: http://www.hoodcanal.wednet.edu.
The Shelton School Board has lowered the District’s academic eligibility standards for athletics and extra curricular activities to match the WIAA level which is used by most other schools in the state. After a split decision Tuesday night, students will now need to have a 1.8 grade point average to be eligible for sports and other after school activities. The previous GPA was 2.0.
