The Shelton fast pitch softball team took 5th place in the South Sound Conference Tournament Friday with an 8 to 5 win over Central Kitsap at the RAC (Regional Athletic Complex) in Lacey.
The Highclimbers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Kamryn Hyland and Alex Walters hit back-to-back doubles with two out. Shelton added four runs in the fourth when Walters hit her second double and Molly Delacruz had a two-run single. The ‘Climbers added insurance runs in the the fifth and sixth innings and headed to the top of the seventh with an 8 to 2 lead.
The Shelton fast pitch softball team lost to North Thurston 10 to 1 Thursday in the first round of the South Sound Conference Tournament at the RAC (Regional Athletic Complex) in Lacey. The Rams held the Lady Highclimbers three hits and Shelton only had six base runners.

The Highclimbers are 8-and-10 on the season,, 4-and-8 in the South Sound Conference. The Blazers are 3-and-13, 3-and-10 in the SSC.

The Highclimbers are 7-and-8 on the season. The Vikings are 8-and-5.
The Shelton fast pitch softball team managed only one hit against South Sound Conference foe Yelm Wednesday and the Highclimbers lost to the Tornados 16 to 0. Yelm took advantage of eight Shelton errors and had big innings, scoring six runs in the first inning and seven runs in the fourth.
Erica Ayala got the ‘Climbers’ only hit in the fifth inning as the Tornados’ Taylyn Culter struck out 15 and walked only four.
Shelton drops to 4-and-6 on the season, 1-and-4 in the SSC. They travel to Timberline Friday.

The Shelton softball team was blown away by Yelm Wednesday 24 to 0 in a game broadcast on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC. The Tornados sent every batter in their line up to the plate in the first inning (scoring 5 runs) and nearly batted around twice in the second inning (scoring 11 runs). Yelm scored at least two runs in each of the next three innings to secure their 17th victory of the season. The game was called in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule.

The Lady Lancers struck first scoring two runs in the third inning and added another in the fourth to take a 3 to 0 lead.
