Head-On Crash Near Lilliwaup

WSPlogo150A Shelton woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a head-on collision north of Lilliwaup Saturday. According to the State Patrol, a 2014 Volkswagon Jetta was southbound on U.S. Highway 101 while a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban was northbound. Two Injured When Car Hits Pole

The State Patrol says a 2007 Mazda 3 was northbound on Agate Road heading towards Pickering about 8:30 PM when it left the roadway to the right and collided with the pole in the 5600 block. Chain Reaction Crash in Belfair

WSPlogo150One person was injured in a three-vehicle, chain reaction crash on Highway 300 in Belfair Thursday morning. According to the State Patrol, a 1999 Ford Expedition, a 2009 Toyota Camry and a 1992 Honda Civic were eastbound on SR-300 (North Shore Road) about just before 10 AM. Near Mission Creek Road, the Honda and Toyota stopped for roadwork. The Expedition was unable to stop in time and struck the Toyota.  The Camry then struck the Honda which was pushed off the Highway onto the eastbound shoulder. Both directions of Highway 300 were blocked for 90 minutes. Continue reading

Pickup Hits Bicyclist Near Shelton Airport

wsp logo3A 29-year-old man from the United Kingdom riding a bicycle was hit by a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 101 Sunday near Sanderson Field. According to the State Patrol, the man was riding northbound on the shoulder near West Airview Way about 3 PM when a northbound pickup swerved to avoid a southbound vehicle and struck him. One Injured in Crash Near Hamma Hamma

WSPlogo150A 12-year-old boy was injured in a single vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 near the Hamma Hamma River Bridge Sunday afternoon. According to the State Patrol, the Bremerton boy was a passenger in the 1998 Dodge Ram Pickup towing a 16-foot camp trailer that was southbound on 101 about 4:30 PM. At milepost 320.6, the pickup left the roadway to the right and struck the jersey barrier, coming to rest partially blocking the southbound lane. Continue reading

Four Injured in Taylor Towne Crash

WSPlogoFour people were injured in a two-car collision on U.S. Highway 101 in Taylor Towne Sunday. The State Patrol says the crash occurred about 2:30 PM at the intersection of 101 and Southeast Lynch Road. Three Olympia women were westbound on Lynch Road in a 2007 Ford Focus. Pickup Strikes Bicycle in Belfair

sr3 bike struck 080814A 70-year-old Tahuya man was injured after his bicycle was struck by a pickup truck on Highway 3 in Belfair Friday. According to the State Patrol, Fred Walter Sage III was southbound on the shoulder of SR-3 about 11:30 AM. Near Romance Hill Road (milepost 26), a southbound 2004 Toyota pickup drifted onto the shoulder and struck Sage. Continue reading

Shelton Woman Dies in Montana Motorcycle Crash

Montana_Highway_PatrolA 55-year-old woman from Shelton died in a motorcycle crash in south-central Montana Thursday night. The Montana Highway Patrol says a 55-year-old man, also from Shelton, was driving a 2007 Harley-Davidson at about 8:15 PM when the bike struck a deer on Highway 10 East near Big Timber.  Continue reading
