A Hoodsport man was injured in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 Wednesday night. A State Patrol press memo says a 1996 Dodge Caravan was southbound on 101 about 10 PM. Near the Tacoma City Light Power Plant, the driver lost control of the minivan on the wet road. It struck the guardrail, went up and over the guardrail and struck the bridge. A school bus went into a ditch on the South Shore of Hood Canal Monday afternoon. According to the State Patrol, the 2005 International School Bus was eastbound on Highway 106 about 3 PM. The driver checked on her passengers in the rearview mirror. The bus drifted to the right shoulder at milepost 14. Its wheels dropped onto the soft shoulder and then into the ditch. A 44-year-old Belfair woman was injured Wednesday morning when her SUV ran over her. According to the State Patrol, a 2001 Jeep Cherokee ran out of gas as it approached the Chevron Station on Highway 3 in Belfair just before 8 AM. A water bottle contributed to a two-car crash on Highway 3 south of Bremerton Monday morning that sent one driver to the hospital. According to a State Patrol press memo, a 1993 Lexus LS400 and a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta were northbound on SR-3 about 7:30 AM. At Windy Point, about a mile south of Bremerton, the Lexus stopped for traffic and was struck by the VW. The driver of the Jetta told Troopers a water bottle rolled under the brake pedal. Only one injury reported after an SUV rearended a school bus in Hoodsport Friday. According to the State Patrol, a 2010 Chevrolet HHR and a 2002 Bluebird school bus were southbound on State Route 119 (Lake Cushman Road) about 12:30 PM. The bus slowed at the intersection with U.S. Highway 101. The driver of the SUV suffered a medical issue and failed to slow down, striking the rear of the bus. A woman from Shelton was involved in a three-vehicle chain reaction crash on Highway 3 south of Bremerton Tuesday afternoon. According to the State Patrol, a 2000 Honda Civic and a 2012 Ford Focus were stopped for traffic on southbound SR-3 about 4:30 PM when a southbound 2002 Dodge Ram pickup hit the rear of the Ford which forced the Focus into the rear of the Honda. Ice and speed contribute to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 3 Sunday morning near Mason Benson Road. According to the State Patrol, a southbound 2003 Honda Accord lost control on the icy roadway about 8 AM. The car entered the northbound lane and struck a 2003 Honda Element at milepost 15.
