The Shelton girls’ basketball team held Foss to four first quarter points on the way to a 52 to 41 victory. Paige Johnson led the Highclimbers with 17 points. Shelton improve to 7-and-6 on the season, 2-and-5 in the Narrows League. The Lady Highclimbers travel to Capital Friday.

The back and forth game went down to wire. Neither team led by more than eight points before the other would come back. In the end, after the Buccaneers’ last comeback was capped by Liam Young’s 3-pointer to give Kingston a one-point lead with 17 seconds remain, the Bulldogs’ Trey Fisher missed a 15-footer at the buzzer.
