Suspected Child Pornographer Returned to Kitsap County from Nebraska

The Washington State Patrol says a man suspected in a child pornography case that originated in Port Orchard has been brought back to Washington. According to a news release, Detectives from the Patrol’s Missing and Exploited Children’s Task Force (MECTF) returned from Nebraska Friday afternoon after extraditing 55-year-old Kevin T. Morrissey.

Chamber State of Community Dinner

The Shelton Mason County Chamber of Commerce held its annual State of the Community Dinner at the Pavilion at Sentry Park Thursday night. During the event, those in attendance heard from Mason County Commissioner Lynda Ring-Erickson, Shelton Mayor Gary Cronce, and Port of Shelton Commissioner Dick Taylor.

Annual Report from Central Mason Fire & EMS

Central Mason Fire and EMS – formerly Mason County Fire District No. 5 – has released its 2011 Annual Report. The report summarizes all that happened in the District last year. Fire Chief Tim McKern presented the report to the Shelton City Commission Monday night.
