City Holding Another Hearing on Pot Gardens Moratorium

The Shelton City Commission will be holding another public hearing on the City’s moratorium on collective gardens for growing medical marijuana. The moratorium has been in place since last September and was enacted to give staff time to draft regulations governing these types of gardens allowed under of Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5073 which allows up to ten persons to join together and grow marijuana for their medical use.

Shelton NJROTC Performs Well at Curtis

The Shelton High School NJROTC performed well at a Northwest JROTC Drill and Rifle Conference meet held at Curtis High School Saturday. Shelton sent 34 students the  competition.

Candlelight Vigil of Fallen Trooper Tonight

A candlelight vigil for Trooper Radulescu is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the Christian Life Center, 1780 SE Lincoln Ave in Port Orchard. A public memorial for Trooper Radulescu will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
