Wyla Wood, Mason County PUD 3 manager for the last ten years, is retiring from the leadership post at the utility effective March 31. Community members, peers and PUD 3 employees Friday, March 29, 2013 celebrated her career with a potluck and reception at PUD headquarters in Shelton. Wood, the eighth manager of PUD 3 since its formation in 1939, was also the first female manager of the utility. Wood was hired by PUD 3 in 1981 as a part-time cashier at the utility’s Belfair office. She advanced through a number of progressively responsible positions at the PUD before being appointed manager in 2003.

Annette Creekpaum, PUD 3’s Finance Manager/Auditor, was formally appointed by the board of commissioners as the PUD’s new manager, effective April 1. Creekpaum was hired in 1998 to serve as the PUD’s Finance Manager/Auditor, a position she has held for 15 years.
