Transit Busy During Paddle to Squaxin

Mason Transit was quite busy during the Paddle to Squaxin 2012 Canoe Journey. According to the MTA’s Director, Brad Paterson, Mason Transit and the Shelton School District partnered to provide transportation services to the Squaxin Island Tribe for the week long event. For the Saturday & Sunday of the Canoe Journey, which included the landing in Olympia, there were over 6,000 rides provided. During the week, the school district gave 19,765 rids around Kamilche. Total rider ship for the event was over 25,765 rides.
