The United Way of Mason County is holding its annual Day of Caring Thursday and the Mason County Commission has proclaimed June 21, 2012 “Day of Caring.”
Since 2009, United Way of Mason County has been bringing neighbors together to improve lives on “Day of Caring”. Last year, 150 volunteers from 22 workplaces and organizations completed 23 social service projects on a single day. They painted, filed, weeded parks, set up play structures, and more. According to UWMC Executive Director Tamra Ingwaldson, the number of projects and volunteers are about the same for this year.
