MMK in 4th; NM Crowns Champ; SHS in 11th
After the first day of the Class 1B Southwest District 4 Track and Field Championships at Raymond High School, Mary M. Knight girls and boys are in fourth place. The Owls’ Nick Dierkop is dominating winning the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles, placing 2nd in the high jump, taking 3rd in the long jump. Linda Cook is also having a nice meet winning the shot put, placing 3rd in the discus, and taking 4th in the javelin. Hannah Frost placed 2nd in the 800 and the discus. Melodie Snyder took 4th in the javelin. And Kelsey Beebe was 5th in the shot put. The meet continues Saturday in Raymond.
After the first day of the Class 2A West Central District Track and Field Championships at Sunset Chevrolet Stadium, North Mason has already won an event. The Bulldogs’ Craig (CJ) Allen took the 110 hurdles. He also finished 3rd in the 300 hurdles and 6th in the 200. Tommy Marsh placed 3rd in the discus. Emma Berg took 3rd in the long jump. The girls’ relay team of Tabitha Schwerzler, Alivia Sandquist, Emma Berg & Evelyn Williams took 3rd in the 4 x 200 and 5th in the 4 x 100. Alicia Martin placed 6th in the shot put. Joshua Hosier placed 6th in the 400 and 10th in the 100. The boys’ relay team of Brandon Beauprey, Rene Miguel, Joshua Hosier & Craig Allen took 8th in the 4 x 400. And Brandon Dunham was 9th in the high jump and 10th in the javelin. The meet continues Saturday in Sumner.
After the first day of the Class 4A West Central District Track and Field Championships at Mount Tahoma Stadium, the Shelton boys’ are in 11th place while the Lady Highclimbers haven’t placed. Indie Endicott was Shelton’s top finisher Friday 3rd in the pole vault, 9th in the 300 hurdles, and 10th in the 110 hurdles. Bryton Rodgers was 6th in the pole vault. And Courtney Hanson was the highest placing Lady-‘Climber finishing 10th in the javelin. The meet continues Saturday in Tacoma.
