Wins for NM Baseball, SHS Baseball & Softball; Tie for SHS Soccer
The North Mason baseball team held Bremerton to two hits and the Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season beating the Knights Friday 10 to 0 in five innings. Caden North got the win on the mound, pitching all five innings, striking out six and walking one. On the offensive side, Ethan Collins was 3 for 4 at the plate with a double and four RBI. Brady Six was 1 for 2 with a double and two RBI. Cole McCormick and Javon Kelley also batted in runs. North Mason is now 1-and-3 on the season. The boys from Belfair travel to North Kitsap Monday.
The Shelton baseball team shut out Centralia Friday 4 to 0 in their home opener despite being out hit by the Tigers 7 to 4. The Highclimbers’ Kyle Gerchak was the winning pitcher going four and a third innings, allowing three hits, striking out four and walking two. Tobyn Dudley closed out the game giving up only two hits, striking out four and walking one in two innings. Cannon Hutson was 1 for 2 at the plate and batted in a run. Brady Rhoades was 2 for 3 and scored a run. Brendan Wagner, Cody Thompson and Wyatt Wagner also scored runs for Shelton. The ‘Climbers improve to 2-and-1 on the season. They host Aberdeen Monday.
The Shelton fastpitch softball team won at Centralia Friday 11 to 1 making it two wins in a row. Specific details about the game are not available but the Lady Highclimbers are now 2-and-1 on the season. They play at Aberdeen Monday.
