North Mason Baseball Comes Up Short

The North Mason baseball team’s rally came up a run short of Olympic Thursday as the Bulldogs fell to the Trojans 5 to 4.

Olympic scored three runs in the 1st inning and had a 5 to 1 lead heading into the 5th. The boys from Belfair scored three runs in the top of the frame with singles by Mason Shumaker and Brady Six, and a double by Ethan Collins but that is where the comeback ended.

The Bulldogs also stole nine bases (Emmett Bryz-Gornia, Connor McCollum, Cole McCormick, Caden North 3, Mason Shumaker, Ethan Smith 2) but left six on base during the game. .

Brady Six suffered the loss on the mound, pitching two innings allowing four runs on four hits.

North Mason dropped to 0-and-2 on the season and travel to Port Angeles Saturday.
