The North Mason football team pulled away from South Kitsap Saturday for a 39 to 7 win.
The Bulldogs’ first score was on a scooped up fumble by Caden North who ran 61 yards for the TD.
After South Kitsap tied the game in the first quarter, Aiden Powell punched it in from three yards out early in the second.
After an interception in the end zone that ended a SK scoring threat, North scampered 85 yards for his second TD with 4:45 left in the half and the Bulldogs took a 19 to 7 lead into the locker room at the break.
About midway through the third quarter, North Mason extended their lead to 26-7 when Jude Sosky tossed a 48-yard TD pass to Josh Simons.
Three minutes later, Powell found the end zone from 21 yards out making the score 33 to 7.
The final NM score came late in the fourth when Dakota Filer grabbed a 20-yard touchdown pass from Sosky.
The boys’ from Belfair improved to 2-and-1 on the season. They travel to Shelton Friday for the Mason County Cup and the Battle for the Axe. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will broadcast the game live. Kick off is 7 PM.
