One person was were injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 3 at Anthony Road Friday afternoon.
The Washington State Patrol says a 2010 Toyota Corolla was southbound on State Route 3 while a 2020 Ford Escape was northbound. About 3:15 PM near the intersection with Anthony Road, the Escape started to drift towards the centerline. The driver of the Corolla overcorrected to avoid the Ford but ended up striking the SUV in the northbound lane. The highway was fully or partially blocked for three hours while troopers investigated.
The driver of the Toyota, a 70-year-old Olympia woman, was transported by aid to St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
The driver of the Ford, a 60-year-old Shelton woman, was not injured.
Cause of the crash is still under investigation.
