During the afternoon of Monday, January 26, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews reopened both lanes of U.S. Highway 101 near Eldon in Mason County.
The reopening of both lanes was made possible after crews rebuilt a roughly 300-foot section of the northbound lane and a portion of the shoulder.
The highway had been reduced to one-way alternating traffic due to roadway settlement caused by heavy rain early January.
