Three people were injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 3 just north of Shelton Yacht Club Friday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver of a southbound 2002 GMC Denali suffered a “medical event”, crossed the centerline of SR-3 at milepost 4 and struck a northbound 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck head-on about 1:30 PM. Highway 3 was blocked for more than an hour and a half.
The driver of the GMC, a 62-year-old Port Orchard man, was transported by aid car to St. Peter Hospital in Olympic.
A passenger in the GMC, a 76-year-old Port Orchard Man, was transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
And the driver of the Chevy, an 83-year-old Allyn man, was transported to St. Peter Hospital.
A press memo indicates that the medical event was the cause of this collision.
