Shelton Police Chief Swearing In Monday

[LIVE VIDEO] Shelton’s new Police Chief, Carole Beason, will be sworn in Monday afternoon and MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will provide a live video stream of the 2 PM swearing in ceremony.

Beason comes to Shelton from the San Diego Police Department where she began her career as an officer in 1995. She advanced through the ranks to Lieutenant in 2015. As Lieutenant, Beason led the Sex Crimes Unit, Child Abuse Unit, Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, and the Sex Registrant Unit. Beason also served with the SDPD’s Homeless Outreach Team for 22 months, a team comprised of officers, mental health professionals, and social workers. The Team’s goals are to build trust, provide education, and assist individuals experiencing homelessness with accessing available resources.

Carole Beason replaces the retiring Darin Moody who was Shelton Police Chief for six years.
