Mason County Pubic Health reported two COVID-19 outbreaks at assisted living communites in the County this month. A news release says the outbreaks were at the Haven in Allyn and at Shelton Health and Rehabliation.
The Haven had 14 residents and five staff members test positive for the coronavirus. There were three resident deaths who were also COVID-19 positive. The news release says all residents and staff have completed their isolation period and are continuing recovery. The Haven continues testing all staff.
Shelton Health and Rehabilitation has had a COVID-19 outbreak this week with six residents and one staff member testing positive.
Both facilities are working closely with Mason County Public Health, the State Department of Health and the Department of Social and Health Services to contain the outbreaks.
