Mason County Public Health reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 in the County on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. The number of active COVID-19 cases in Mason County is now 152, up from 136 Tuesday but the number of hospitalizations dropped one to three. Mason County’s new case rate per 100,000 over two weeks went up to 243 – base on 64,980 population and 158 cases in the last 14 days.
The December 9th, 2020 – 4:00 p.m. news release says: “Since the last release (12/8/20), Mason County Public Health was notified of Twenty-Seven (27) additional Mason County residents that tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total to Nine Hundred and Thirty-Seven (937) positive cases in Mason County.”
