Mason County Public Health reported 30 new cases of COVID-19 in the County on Monday, December 7, 2020. This number includes cases confirmed over the weekend and increases the number of active cases to 125 with four people hospitalized. Mason County’s rate per 100,000 of new cases during the prior two weeks increases slightly from Friday to 234 – based on 64,980 population and 152 cases in the last 14 days.
The December 7th, 2020 – 4:00 p.m. news release says: “Since the last release (12/4/20), Mason County Public Health was notified of Thirty (30) additional Mason County residents that tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total to Eight Hundred and Ninety-Nine (899) positive cases in Mason County.”
