The name of the victim in the murder discovered Monday has been released. The Mason County Coroner’s Office says the deceased individual has been positively identified as 27-year-old Derrick Wily, a resident of Mason County.
According to the Coroner, the cause of death is pending.
Wily’s remains were located in a rural area of Mason County, outside of the City of Shelton about 12 PM Monday. Investigators believe Wily was killed within city limits and then placed in the rural area.
Shelton Police and deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects at a residence in Shelton at approximately 7 PM.
The investigation continues and authorities say this does not appear to be a random act as the victim and suspects knew each other.
