Ten COVID-19 Safety Rules

Follow these ten COVID-19 Safety Rules to insure you are taking the proper steps to avoid getting COVID and what you should do if you become a contact or are positive with COVID-19.

  1. Stay home when sick
  2. Practice good hygiene – wash your hands and frequently used surfaces
  3. Keep your distance (6ft minimum)
  4. Wear your face covering
  5. Avoid settings where you cannot do these things.
  6. If you are exposed (closer than 6 feet for more than 15 minutes) to a confirmed positive COVID case, quarantine for 14 days after your exposure date and
  7. Get a COVID test 5-7 days after exposure
  8. If you test negative after an exposure, you still need to remain in quarantine for the full 14 days from exposure date
  9. If you have any of these symptoms (fever or chills, headache, shortness of breath, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, new loss of taste or smell, muscle or body aches, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, extreme fatigue) get tested then stay home until you get your test results and
  10. If positive, stay in isolation for 10 days from the date of your first symptom and until symptoms improve. If your condition worsens, seek medical assistance.
