Mason County Public Health reported ten new cases of COVID-19 in the County on Thursday, November 5, 2020. Mason County’s rate per 100,000 population over the prior two weeks (based on a population of 64,980 and 52 cases in the last 14 days) is now 80 – up from yesterday’s rate of 72. The number of active COVID-19 cases in Mason County has dropped to 46 with still two people hospitalized.
The November 5th, 2020 – 4:00 p.m. news release says: “Since the last release (11/4/20), Mason County Public Health was notified of Ten (10) additional Mason County residents that tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total to Six Hundred and Four (604) positive cases in Mason County.”
