Fire Destroys Shelton Home

A fire destroyed a house on Beverly Boulevard in Shelton early Sunday morning but firefighters were able to save a nearby garage.

According to a news release, the fire was reported at 6:44 AM. The first-arriving Central Mason Fire & EMS unit was on-scene five minutes later and reported a “heavily involved” residential structure. The separate metal garage building was located within two feet of the burning house so fire crews concentrated on saving that building and its contents.

The house is listed as a total loss. Fire investigators and Shelton Police Department are working to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

Mason County Fire Districts 4 and 11 assisted Central Mason Fire with this incident.
