A wind advisory has been issued for Tuesday afternoon and forecasters say another round of heavy rainfall will lead to additional rises on area rivers.
Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph are expected as the wind advisory is in effect from noon to 6 PM Tuesday. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Also, use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle.
Another wet weather system will move through the area overnight into Tuesday. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will fall across the mountains which will lead to additional rises on area rivers. Widespread river flooding is not expected but a few rivers including the Skokomish may approach flood stage late Tuesday evening through early Wednesday.
