[VIDEO] Thursday morning, Mason PUD 3 celebrated the completion of its first Fiberhood in the area of Schafer State Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the park in the southwest corner of Mason County.
PUD 3 Commissioner Tom Farmer cut the ribbon with PUD 3 Commissioner Linda Gott, Mason County Commissioner Kevin Shutty, Washington State Parks’ Joe Fernandez, PUD 3 Manager Annette Creekpaum, and PUD 3 staff members Justin Holzgrove and Toby Tarswell on hand.
Several people attended the ceremony remotely and spoke including Janea Delk from CERB (Community Economic Revitalization Board), Russ Elliott, Director of Washington State Broadband Office, and Katie Crabtree from Congressman Derek Kilmer’s office.

Those in the Schafer State Park Fiberhood will also need to connect with a retailer, which includes Hood Canal Communications.
