Mason County COVID-19 Report for Monday: 2 More Deaths, 16 New Cases

Mason County Public Health reported two more deaths related to COVID-19 and 16 new cases on Monday, October 5, 2020. Specific information on the deceased has not been released but they appear to be related to the COVID-19 outbreak at Fir Lane Health & Rehabilitation as are six of the new cases. There are now 57 active COVID-19 cases in Mason County, one person remains hospitalized outside the County and the total number of deaths from the virus are now eight.

The October 5th, 2020 – 4:00 p.m. news release says: “Since the last release (10/2/20), Mason County Public Health was notified of Sixteen (16) additional Mason County residents that tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total to Four Hundred Seventy-Seven (477) positive cases in Mason County. Mason County has unfortunately been notified of Two (2) additional COVID-19 related deaths.”
