Opening on North Mason School Board

The North Mason School District is seeking applicants to fill an open seat on the North Mason School Board. In August, Craig Patti resigned from his Director, District 5 Seat.

The North Mason School District Board of Directors accepted that resignation last week and invites all qualified residents to apply for appointment to the open position. The selected individual will serve the remainder of a four year term, ending Winter of 2021. Qualifications include residing within the boundaries of District 5 and registered to vote in North Mason School District.

In general terms, Director District 5 includes Allyn, Victor, the area around the North Mason High School and Hawkins Middle School, and the northern area along Grapeview Loop Road.

The legal description of Director District 5: “Starting at the intersection SR 3 and Sherwood Creek Rd. Westerly on Sherwood Creek Rd to the eastern boundary of T22,R01W,30. North and west following section line to the middle of northern boundary of T22,R01W,30 and US Navy RR. North following US Navy RR to the east/west centerline of T22, R01, 18. East on said centerline to Homestead Dr, one mile, more or less. Northeast on Homestead Dr to SR 3. Northerly on SR 3 to Alta Dr. East on Alta Dr and extension to school district boundary. Clockwise following school district boundary to southern crossing of SR 3. North on SR 3 to the point of the beginning.”

To apply, please submit a letter of interest that includes contact information, a brief biographical sketch, and a statement about your interest in being a board member. Letters of interest will be accepted at the District Office, 71 E. Campus Dr., Belfair, WA 98528.

North Mason School board meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month, beginning at 6:30 pm. Meetings take place at the School District Administration building at 250 E. Campus Dr., Belfair.
