Two COVID-19 Deaths Reported Wednesday, Three New Cases

Wednesday, September 9, 2020, Mason County Public Health reported two residents have died from COVID-19 bringing the County’s total deaths from the virus to three. Specific information on those who died have not been released but they were between 60 and 79 years of age. Officials also reported three new cases of COVID-19 in their 4 PM update.

The September 9th, 2020 – 4:00 p.m. news release says: “Since the last release (9/8/20), Mason County Public Health was notified of Three (3) additional Mason County resident that tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total to Three Hundred Sixty-Six (366) positive cases in Mason County. Mason County staff are performing case investigations and tracing close contacts to reduce spread of COVID-19 in our community. It is with great sadness we announce two (2) additional COVID-19 related deaths of Mason County residents.”
