The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low humidity.
The Fire Weather Watch will be in effect from Monday morning through Wednesday evening. Forecasters expect east wind 10 to 20 MPH with gusts up to 40 MPH next week. The combination of moderate breezes, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to the rapid spread of fire. The Fire Weather Watch area includes the western part of Mason County including Matlock, the Olympic National Forest and the Olympic National Park.
