[VIDEO] This month, the Shelton Mason County Chamber of Commerce, the North Mason Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Council of Mason County are holding the State of the Community series. From 12 PM to 1 PM each Thursday in September, the group is hosting officials from local government, schools, ports, and tribes.
The series kicked off with presentations from Shelton Mayor Kevin Dorcy, Shelton City Manager Jeff Niten and Mason County Commissioner Sharon Trask.

Next Thursday’s focus will be education with presentations from the North Mason School District, the Hood Canal School District, the Shelton School District and Olympic College. The September 17th presentation will be from Ports and PUDs.
The September 24th presentation will be from the Tribes.
