A Shelton man suffered minor injuries when his car was struck by a Washington State Patrol vehicle Friday afternoon on Interstate 5 near JBLM.
A press memo says the WSP’s 2018 Ford Explorer and a 2014 Honda Accord were northbound on I-5 about 12:45 PM. Just north of milepost 120, the Honda slowed for traffic and was struck by the Ford.
The driver of the Explorer, a 54-year-old Mount Vernon man, and the driver of the Honda, a 48-year-old Shelton man, were injured but both declined aid. Both were wearing seatbelts.
The highway was not blocked by this collision and the press memo does not indicate a cause.
