Slow Speed Motorcycle Crash Injures One in Hoodsport

A slow speed collision involving two motorcycles in Hoodsport sent an Everett woman to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Patrol, both Suzuki motorcycles were southbound on U.S. Highway 101 approaching Hoodsport at a “slow rate” about 1 PM. At milepost 332.2, one of the bikes – identified as “Unit 2” – came to a stop. The other motorcycle – identifed as “Unit 1” – was not able to come to a full stop and struck “Unit 2.”

The 51-year-old Everett woman on “Unit 1” was transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
The 53-year-old Mount Lake Terrace man on “Unit 2” was not injured.

Both motorcycles sustained “reportable damage” and were impound. Cause of the crash is under investigation.
