Five New COVID-19 Cases in Mason County Wednesday

Mason County Public Health reported Wednesday, August 5, 2020 five more County residents have tested positive for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The total number of cases in Mason County is now over 200. However, the number of active cases has dropped to 44 with three hospitalized outside the County.

The August 5th, 2020 – 4:00 p.m. news release says: “Since the last release (8/4/20), Mason County Public Health was notified of Five (5) additional Mason County residents that tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total to Two Hundred and One (201) positive cases in Mason County. Mason County Public Health is continuing contact interviews.

“When a positive case completes their isolation period and is released by Local Public Health, they can return to work and normal activities.

“Identified positive cases are located throughout Mason County. Mason County Public Health is asking that the public do their part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
