Five New COVID-19 Cases in Mason County

Mason County Public Health reported Monday, July 13, 2020, five new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the County. The new positive tests bring Mason County’s total number of positive cases to 65. However, there are only six active cases.

The ages of the new case are a female under 20 (0-19 age category), a woman in her 30’s, a woman in her 40’s, a man in his 50’s and a woman in her 60’s.

According to a news release, two cases are direct contacts of a previous positive case in Mason County. One case is a direct contact of a positive case outside Mason County. No information was released on the other two cases as Mason County Public Health continues contact interviews. The patients are currently isolating at home.

Due to Mason County being a small community, location data of positive cases will not be released to reduce the possibility of patient identification and to protect personal health information. Identified positive cases are located throughout Mason County. Mason County Public Health is asking that the public do their part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
