Five New COVID-19 Case in Mason County

Five Mason County residents have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). Mason County Public Health was notified of the additional positive cases on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 increasing the County’s total to 52. However, the number of active COVID-19 case is now eight.

Two of the new cases are direct household contacts of a previous positive case in Mason County. The other three cases are direct contacts of positive cases outside of Mason County. Mason County Public Health is
continuing contact interviews. The patients are currently isolating at home.

Due to Mason County being a small community, location data of positive cases will not be released to reduce the possibility of patient identification and to protect personal health information. Identified positive cases are located throughout Mason County. Mason County Public Health is asking that the public do their part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
