Another Direct Contact COVID-19 Case in Mason County

A man in his 70’s is Mason County’s second direct contact positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) and increasing the number of active cases in County to four.

Mason County Public Health was notified Tuesday, June 16, 2020 of this additional Mason County resident who tested positive for COVID-19 with brings the County’s total to 41. Public Health officials are continuing contact interviews and the patient is currently isolating at home.

Due to Mason County being a small community, location data of positive cases will not be released to reduce the possibility of patient identification and to protect personal health information. Identified positive cases are located throughout Mason County. To avoid exposure, continue to follow the guidance of washing hands frequently and wearing masks or facecoverings when in public. It is also suggestion to limit travel. This will help limit your exposure possibilities. Mason County Public Health is asking that the public do their part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
