A semi truck struck a power pole on U.S. Highway 101 Thursday and blocked the highway for several hours south of Brinnon.
The Washington State Patrol says the 2014 Freightliner was southbound on 101 about 8:45 AM. At milepost 308, the semi went into the southbound ditch and struck the power pole. The highway was blocked until about 6 PM.
The driver, a 59-year-old Port Angeles man, was not injured.
Mason County PUD No. 1 crews had to wait until the scene was clear before beginning repairs. Power was restored to the area about 8 PM.
