Another Mason County COVID-19 Positive Case Reported

Mason County has one more positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19), increasing the number to 15. Mason County Public Health was notified Sunday, April 5, 2020 of the additional County resident who tested positive. Mason County Public Health is conducting contact interviews at this time. The patient, a male in his 50s, is currently isolating at home. The total number of tests performed in Mason County is 476.

Due to Mason County being a small community, location data of positive cases will not be released to reduce the possibility of patient identification and to protect personal health information. Identified positive cases are located throughout Mason County. To avoid exposure, continue to follow the guidance of washing hands frequently, stay home, unless essential to work and limit travel to only medical appointments, medication pick up, and once every 2-week grocery shopping needs.
