County Offices Limiting Public Access

In response to COVID-19, many County offices are limiting public access. Some services are by appointment only. Please check with the specific department or office before visiting any Mason County Government Office.

Mason County Assessor, Auditor and Treasurer’s Offices are limiting public access with some business done by appointment only. Many of the Auditor’s Office services are available online, by phone or by mail.

The Mason County Human Resources and Facilities & Grounds office is closed to both public and county employee access without an appointment.

Superior Court is temporarily moving toward all telephone court hearings, with some exceptions. The Courts will be providing information on how to access the court for any given hearing shortly. In the meantime, if you are represented by counsel, please contact your attorney. If you do not have an attorney, please contact Superior Court Administration at extension 348 to arrange for telephonic appearance.

Jurors: please note the following temporary change in our policies. Jury service may be continued to another time period based upon the following criteria:

You have a chronic health conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, or diabetes
You have a weakened immune system
You are pregnant
You are age 60 or older and you do not wish to report for jury duty
You are sick or have recently been in contact with someone who is sick

The Mason County Commissioners are encouraging you to watch the live stream of their meetings on and submit any public comment to or by phone at 360-427-9670 ext. 419. Also, due to COVID-19, the Belfair Special Meeting originally scheduled on March 31, 2020 will no longer be held.
