Here is the latest information on the Coronavirus. As of 2 PM March 10, 2020, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mason County. However, the numbers continue to rise in Washington State. The State Department of Health now reports 267 confirmed cases with 24 deaths (22 in King, 1 in Snohomish, and now 1 in Grant County.)
The largest outbreak is in King County with 190 cases. Snohomish County has 54. Pierce County has 14 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus. There are two cases in Kitsap. And the other counties with one case each are Clark, Grant, Jefferson, Kittitas and Skagit. As noted on the chart above, two confirmed COVID-19 cases are “Unassigned”.
The first responder who was exposed to COVID-19 at a Kirkland senior care community and lives in Mason County has been released from his quarantine. According to Mason County Commissioner Randy Neatherlin, he did not have symptoms.
