City Council Emergency Proclamation for COVID-19

[VIDEO] The Shelton City Council held a special meeting Thursday night to consider a Procalmation of Emergency for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Similar to the proclamation approved by the Mason County Commission Wednesday, the City’s proclamation directs City departments to utilize resources and do everything reasonably possible to assist in an effort to respond to and recover from the COVID-19 outbreak.

There are no current cases of COVID-19 in Shelton. However, the emergency proclamation ensures that should that change, Shelton is able to quickly access state and federal resources.

The Washington State Department of Health has opened a call center to answer questions about the Coronavirus. The phone number is 1-800-525-0127. Hours are 6 AM to 10 PM seven days a week.
