Port of Bremerton Topic of Voice Meeting

[VIDEO] The Port of Bremerton was the topic for Monday night’s North Mason Community Voice. Featured speaker was Jim Rothlin, the Port’s Chief Executive Officer.

The CEO game a brief presentation on the Port of Bremerton which is just north of Belfair on Highway 3 with Bremerton National Airport & Olympic View Industrial & Business Park and also has marinas in Bremerton and Port Orchard as well as waterfront property. Rothlin’s talk focused on the Port’s future plans including spec buildings, a multi-purpose motorsport facility, and upgrades to what used to be the Airport Diner. He also talked about the SR-3 Freight Corridor, extending sewer from Belfair to the Puget Sound Industrial Complex and an Amazon Regional Distribution Center that will be constructed on a portion of Port property but mostly on privately owned property.

  1. Always informative to hear what someone outside Mason County has to say about projects like the Belfair Sewer Extension and Amazon distribution proposals. Our commissioners could take a professional lesson from Port of Bremerton Chief Executive Officer, Jim Rothlin, and just tell it like it is.
