The Shelton Arts Commission has set the dates for the 2020 Empty Bowls event. This year is the 15th year for the event that raises funds for Saint’s Pantry Food Bank. Mark Ziegler, Community Development Director for the City of Shelton, talked about the event at this week’s Shelton City Council meeting.
Empty Bowls dates to remember:
•March 4, 5:00 – 7:00 pm: Create a bowl
Put your creative cap on and roll up your sleeves, because it’s time to create your bowl!
•March 11, 5:00 – 7:00 pm: Glaze your bowl
It’s time to glaze (AKA decorate) your bowls!
•March 18, 5:00 – 7:00 pm: Soup & bread
Donate $10, and have a bowl to keep and be able to enjoy some delicious soup and bread from one of our participating restaurants: Olympic Bakery & Deli, Paulie’s Place, The Strip Steak House, Taylor Shellfish Farms, Smokin’ Mo’s, and Kern’s Kitchen.
All three events will be in the Shelton Civic Center and all supplies are provided by the Shelton Arts Commission.
Can’t make all 3 nights? Don’t worry! There will be extra bowls at each night.
