Three people were transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton Tuesday morning after a two-car collision on U.S. Highway 101 at Brockdale Road.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2018 Ford C-Max was making a left turn from Brockdale onto Southbound 101 about 10 AM. A 2010 Ford Mustang that was northbound on 101 swerved left to avoid the C-Max, crossed the centerline and collided with the car in the southbound lane. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.
The driver of the Mustang, a 31-year-old Hoodsport man, the driver of the C-Max, a 73-year-old Union woman, and her passenger, a 92-year-old Seattle woman, were injured and transported to the hospital by ambulance.
A collision memo indicates that speed was a contributing factor in this crash and the Hoodsport man faces charges of Negligent Driving.
