Flooding Again Possible Wednesday through Saturday

Another heavy rain event is possible for Western Washington beginning Tuesday night and continuing into Friday. One to three inches of rain is possible for most of the interior lowlands during the event with three to five inches along the coast and four to eight inches in the Cascades and along the West Slopes of the Olympics. Snow levels initially will be low Tuesday night, 1500 to 2000 feet in the Cascades and around 3000 feet in the
Olympics, but will rise to 4000 to 6000 feet in the Cascades and 6000 to 7000 feet in the Olympics by the end of Wednesday. This amount of rain could produce flooding on many rivers, streams, and urban areas. At this time, there is a possibility of moderate or even higher flooding. The landslide threat will also be increasing.
