[VIDEO] The Port of Allyn Commission utilizes the services of MasonWebTV Powered by HCC to record their business meetings. The video of the Port of Allyn Commission’s February 3, 2020 meeting is now available.
During the meeting, the Port Commission heard a presentation from Thera Black from the PRTOP (Peninsula Region Transportation Planning Organization) and approved a $52,590 contract with Art Anderson & Associates for the Oyster House Engineering.
Port Commissioners also tabled the public hearing on an update to the Port of Allyn’s Comprehensive Scheme of Harbor Improvements until next Monday.
This long-term planning document outlines the Port’s strategy for expansion, maintenance and upgrading facilities as well as plans for new facilities. Among future projects are a commercial/light industrial park, a staging area for boaters at the Allyn Waterfront Park, an indoor shooting range, and a combination soccer and baseball sports complex.
The reason for the delay related to questions on whether the hearing was properly noticed although the Port Commission is not required to hold a public hearing.
The Port of Allyn is also asking residents to take a survey relating to the Comp Plan. Click here for a direct link.
The public hearing on the Port of Allyn’s 2020 Comprehensive Scheme of Harbor Improvements is now scheduled for 6 PM, Monday, January 10, 2020.
