As early as the afternoon of Thursday, Jan. 30, travelers who use State Route 302 near Minter Creek will notice temporary changes to the highway.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will open a two-lane road that will take travelers around the area where crews are removing barriers to fish.
The speed limit on SR 302 will be reduced from 45 mph to 25 mph from milepost 10 to milepost 11.
The work leading up to the traffic revision is weather sensitive and may be postponed.
Once in place, the traffic revision will keep two-way traffic along this section of SR 302 during construction.
This work is part of a project that improves fish habitat for Minter Creek, and makes pavement and side walk improvements to sections of SR 302.
