Three Shelton wrestlers won their weight class in the King of the Hills Battle for the Belt at Black Hills High School Saturday.
Cameraon MacAlevy won at 132 pounds.
Robert Allred took 1st at 145 pounds.
Michael Gilman was 1st at 170 pounds.
Braden MacAlevy placed 2nd at 138 pounds.
Six Highclimbers placed at the Napavine Tiger Classic Saturday.
Drew Schirman placed 2nd at 120 pounds.
Cameron Coady took 3rd at 113 pounds.
Kevin Cruz was 3rd at 160 pounds.
Daniel Tausa placed 4th at 220 pounds.
Mario Boxley finished 4th at 182 pounds.
Adrian Deacon was 5th at 170 pounds.
The Mary M. Knight boys’ basketball team lost at Naselle Saturday 76 to 51. The Owls drop to 5-and-6 on the season. They return to 1B Coastal League play Tuesday at Wishkah Valley. Both teams from Matlock travel to Taholah on Wednesday.
Friday, the North Mason basketball teams split their games against Olympic. The Lady Bulldogs won on the road, 52 to 46, while the boys lost in Belfair 74 to 46. The NM girls improved to 7-and-5 on the season, 4-and-2 in the Olympic League. The boys drop to 4-and-10 overall, 1-and-5 in league play. The Bulldogs take on North Kitsap Tuesday (both teams play in Belfair); Sequim Wednesday (girls at home, boys on the road); and Kingston Friday (boys at home, girls on the road).
Weather impacted the Shelton basketball teams last week. The Lady Highclimbers last played Monday and lost at Black Hills. The boys haven’t played since their loss at Capital on January 10th. The ‘Climbers return to action Wednesday against Yelm. The boys on the road. The girls in the Mini Dome and on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC. Both teams take on Gig Harbor Friday at home and MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will have the double header for you as well.
